The Boys Of Fall Are Coming

The countdown is on for one of our favorite days of the year—the R.A. Brown Ranch 52nd Annual Bull, Female & Quarter Horse Sale, October 13-14. This year’s theme, BOYS OF FALL, feels especially fitting because sale season around here is a lot like game day: months—really generations—of preparation all come together when it matters most.

If you haven’t had a chance to dive into the 244-page digital sale catalog, we hope you will. You can download it or flip through it online, and we think you’ll quickly discover it is much more than a list of sale animals and their data. It is a living, breathing look inside R.A. Brown Ranch—our programs, people, philosophies, pictures and the “why” behind the decisions we make. In many ways, it is our game plan for the ranch, and we hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as studying the numbers.

Sale day itself brings a lot of things together into one fun-filled event. We’ll kick things off with our Rancher’s Forum, a short educational seminar focused on timely topics affecting our industry, followed by an offering that truly showcases the diversity of the ranch: Registered Angus females; the complete dispersal of Rob & Peggy Brown’s beloved Quarter Horse herd; top-end Angus, Red Angus and SimAngus bulls; 850 head of commercial bred heifers selling in 10-head lots; and Registered Red Angus females.

It’s a big day, but it’s about much more than cattle and horses changing hands. It’s a chance to learn something, visit with old friends, make new ones and share a little piece of the ranch we’re fortunate to call home.

The game plan is set. The Boys of Fall are ready. We’ll see you October 13-14 at the ranch.
